About Fiona

I have a master's degree in mental health counseling and a passion for supporting individuals through life's transitions. Currently I am particularly focused on supporting women through their journey into motherhood. After becoming a mother I realized what a profound and sometimes difficult transition it is to go from an independent adult to the caretaker for another individual. Through my journey I became interested in helping to better prepare expecting moms for what having a new baby will be like and support mothers through this transition. I have a background working with individuals from a variety of cultures and social situations including refugees, transgender individuals, adolescents, families and couples. I'm skilled at helping people overcome substance abuse issues, manage depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder as well as any difficulties life might throw at you. I truly believe that problems lie outside the person and each of us has the ability to overcome our problems with support, compassion, and courage. Currently I offer phone or video consultation and face to face support in the Syracuse area. Please see my Services page for more information.
